Dingxin Tea Garden CommercialDingxin Tea Garden CommercialDingxin Tea Garden Commercial is an innovative landscape architecture project located in Banan District, Chongqing, China, representing a harmonious integration of traditional Chinese garden design principles with modern commercial functionality. Situated on an ecological tea mountain at an elevation of 800-1,200 meters, this pioneering tea industrial complex exemplifies the philosophical concept of unity between nature and human beings through its thoughtful architectural composition and spatial arrangement. The design, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Landscape Planning and Garden Design category, masterfully incorporates four key elements: a sophisticated water system layout, strategic mountain views, traditional courtyard spaces, and integrated landscape architecture. The project, completed in March 2018 and covering approximately 24,200 square meters, features buildings distributed like falling tea leaves around a central water feature, with each structure positioned horizontally along the tea field's contour lines to preserve the natural environment. The complex employs innovative design principles that combine aesthetic perception with scientific, ecological, and commercial considerations, offering comprehensive experiences from tea planting and picking to tea making and tasting. Distinguished by its use of blue flagstone roads, waterside pavilions, and carefully planned viewing corridors, the project creates a dynamic spatial experience where scenery changes with every step, enhanced by thoughtful evening illumination that transforms the garden into a serene sanctuary. The design successfully overcame significant environmental challenges by implementing a sensitive architectural approach that minimizes impact on the existing tea fields while maximizing visitor engagement and visual appeal.
