Snow Time L Wine

Snow Time L Wine is an innovative packaging design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese wine culture with contemporary aesthetic sensibilities. Created by designers Evan Chen and Ziming Guo, this sophisticated wine packaging design represents a significant evolution in the presentation of traditional yellow wine, specifically targeting younger consumers while honoring centuries-old brewing traditions. The design concept draws inspiration from essential elements of yellow wine production - water, snow, glutinous rice, and time - incorporating these themes into a cohesive visual narrative that depicts local mountainous landscapes and waterways. The packaging's distinctive features include a meticulously crafted bottle measuring 275mm×68mm×68mm, enhanced by an innovative paper seal that simulates the ceremonial opening of yellow rice wine. The design employs advanced production techniques, including glass bottle model development, paper embossed hot stamping, and a unique combination of solid wood and cork materials. A notable technical achievement is the implementation of pulp press film combined with an indentation process, creating a tactile snow wrap sensation specifically designed to appeal to female consumers. The project, which launched in Shaoxing in July 2020, has garnered international recognition, including a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, acknowledging its excellence in combining artistic aesthetics with commercial viability. The design successfully bridges the gap between traditional brand heritage and contemporary market demands, offering a fresh interpretation of yellow wine packaging that emphasizes the concept of mindful consumption and temporal appreciation.
