Yabai Immigration Company is an innovative commercial office space transformation project completed in Taipei in 2019, exemplifying modern architectural interior design through its sophisticated integration of space, light, and materials. The 2,625-square-foot ground-floor duplex apartment conversion showcases a striking six-meter-high ceiling design complemented by full-height windows that maximize natural light penetration, creating an atmosphere of openness and possibility. Designed by Ye-Siang Huang, the space employs a minimalist color palette dominated by pure white, strategically enhanced through the interplay of premium materials including transparent glass partitions, black stainless steel structural elements, Carrara marble, and innovative concrete flooring. The design's distinctive features include a dramatic black floating staircase and an architectural steel framework that seamlessly connects walls to ceiling, establishing a strong sense of vertical dimensionality.
