HBI Ceramiche Operational HQ

HBI Ceramiche Operational HQ

HBI Ceramiche Operational HQ is an innovative architectural project completed in 2018 in Foshan, China, that exemplifies contemporary corporate architecture through its distinctive facade performance measuring 17 meters in height and 32 meters in width. The design, conceived by architect Po Yang Chu, revolutionizes spatial organization through its pioneering concept of Void as patio and Wall as Volume, creating a dynamic interplay between interior and exterior spaces. The structure's most notable feature is its sophisticated integration of exhibition platforms, stages, and seating elements composed through a systematic arrangement of ladders, forming a multi-functional communication space that seamlessly merges with the facade design. This architectural masterpiece employs extensive rock slab paving to achieve a cohesive spatial expression, while its overall layout demonstrates a hierarchical arrangement that creates a rhythmic, dynamic aesthetic. The facility incorporates practical amenities, including a modern canteen that aligns with the overall design philosophy, serving both employees and visiting clients. The building's exterior facade functions as a dynamic cortex that projects outward from the interior space, effectively dissolving the boundary between inside and outside. This innovative approach to corporate architecture earned the project a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its exceptional contribution to spatial design and architectural innovation. The project's success lies in its ability to create a harmonious and orderly space experience while maintaining a high level of functionality and aesthetic sophistication, serving as both a service center and exhibition space for international clients.
