Paw Bowl Slow Feeder

Paw Bowl Slow Feeder

Paw Bowl Slow Feeder is an innovative pet feeding solution designed to promote healthier eating habits in cats and dogs through its sophisticated architectural elements and thoughtful ergonomic considerations. Created by ceramic artist Kayoko Nishii, this specialized feeding bowl features a distinctive raised paw print pattern within its interior that effectively regulates the pace at which pets consume their food, addressing common issues such as rapid eating that can lead to digestive problems. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Pet Care, Toys, Supplies and Products for Animals Design category, combines functional excellence with aesthetic appeal through its carefully considered dimensions and material choices. Crafted from durable stoneware clay, the bowl incorporates several innovative features including a square exterior base for stability, rounded interior corners to prevent food accumulation, and strategically placed side grooves for easy handling. Available in two sizes to accommodate different pet needs, the small bowl measures 45mm in height and 125mm in diameter, while the medium version stands 67mm tall with a 185mm diameter. The design's uniqueness extends to its customizable aspects, particularly the paw print detail which can be glazed in various colors to suit individual preferences. The bowl's construction emphasizes both practicality and safety, featuring a weighted design with additional foot pads to prevent sliding, while remaining microwave and dishwasher safe for convenient maintenance. This thoughtful integration of functionality and design aesthetics represents a significant advancement in pet care products, demonstrating how considered design can address specific behavioral challenges while enhancing the overall pet feeding experience.
