Xi’an Vanke Yan Ming Lake ShowroomXi’an Vanke Yan Ming Lake ShowroomXi'an Vanke Yan Ming Lake Showroom is an architecturally significant structure completed in 2020, embodying a harmonious fusion between modern design principles and natural surroundings. Located in Xi'an, China, this 1,338.4-square-meter showroom exemplifies minimalist architectural philosophy while maintaining a profound connection to its environment. The building's most distinctive feature is its innovative structural design, incorporating an 18-meter-long viewing platform created through a sophisticated spiral structure on the second floor, which replicates the natural contours of the surrounding mountain and lake landscape. The exterior facade demonstrates exceptional technical achievement through its combination of fiber cement boards and weather-resistant steel plates, creating a seamless arc surface that transcends traditional sculptural limitations. The structure's minimalist approach is evident in its elegant use of blank space and natural light, where the curved exterior walls serve as canvas-like surfaces that interact with environmental elements to create dynamic architectural compositions. This platinum A' Design Award-winning project, recognized in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, showcases remarkable innovation in sustainable architecture through its energy-efficient material choices and environmentally conscious design approach. The showroom's public spaces are thoughtfully integrated to create a new urban landmark that provides shared breathing spaces for community engagement, successfully combining leisure, green areas, and activity zones while maintaining its primary function as a showcase facility.
