The Vastness. The House Of Light ResidentialThe Vastness. The House Of Light ResidentialThe Vastness. The House Of Light Residential is an award-winning interior design project completed in 2020 in New Taipei City, Taiwan, exemplifying a harmonious blend of natural light, sophisticated materials, and thoughtful spatial planning within a 90-square-meter residential space. This contemporary dwelling masterfully incorporates large floor-to-ceiling windows that create a seamless connection between interior and exterior environments, allowing abundant natural light to flow through the open layout while integrating the surrounding greenery into the living space. The design philosophy emphasizes the interplay of low-chroma colors and natural textures, featuring premium materials such as Angora marble, stone, thin brick, and titanium-plated metal, which work together to create a refined, multi-layered aesthetic experience. The interior architecture notably employs curved corners instead of sharp angles in the canopy design, establishing a sense of softness and fluidity throughout the space. The layout encompasses an entrance, living room, dining room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom, with distinctive features including a sophisticated center island bar with integrated sink, herringbone flooring in the living and study areas, and a statement TV wall crafted from Angora marble with an acoustically optimized inward contraction. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its lighting design, incorporating transparent bubble chandeliers and strategic light beam installations that enhance the three-dimensional hierarchy of the space while creating a warm, contemplative atmosphere that marks the passage of time through natural light patterns.
