Sunflower Art Education Center

Sunflower Art Education Center is an innovative architectural and interior design project completed in Shanghai in 2021, exemplifying the harmonious integration of educational functionality with artistic expression. The center's design philosophy draws inspiration from the natural world, specifically the sunflower, incorporating its distinctive colors and forms to create an engaging learning environment. The facility's most striking feature is a 6-meter-high laminated glass installation that serves as both an architectural statement and a visual representation of the center's creative mission. The design, conceived by Pan Mok, employs a carefully curated color palette of white, red, blue, and yellow, reflecting the pure, fundamental colors found in nature while encouraging creative exploration and artistic expression. The space incorporates sophisticated engineering solutions, including a specially designed mezzanine floor supported by metal structures and custom-made air-conditioning ducts, maintaining optimal ceiling heights while accommodating essential mechanical services.
