Compass Center ExhibitionCompass Center ExhibitionCompass Center Exhibition is an exemplary architectural and interior design project that masterfully integrates Oriental philosophy with contemporary design principles, located in Shenzhen, China. This sophisticated exhibition space, completed between 2017 and 2020, represents a significant achievement in creating harmonious living environments within urban contexts. The project's distinctive feature is its meticulous incorporation of natural elements, particularly evident in its impressive use of stone materials, including a remarkable lobby constructed with nine varieties of premium stone totaling 5,000 cubic meters. The exhibition center showcases an innovative approach to spatial design, featuring a prominent 10-meter-high art wall that creates a serene atmosphere reminiscent of traditional Chinese landscapes. The design philosophy emphasizes the balance between aesthetic refinement and practical functionality, demonstrated through carefully curated spaces ranging from 90 to 190 square meters for high-rise apartments and 160 to 180 square meters for quality houses. The project, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, distinguishes itself through its exceptional attention to detail in material selection and processing, particularly in the treatment of natural stone to enhance its inherent textures. The entrance area notably recreates Northern Song Dynasty ink painting landscapes in a contemporary interpretation, establishing a profound connection between historical artistic traditions and modern architectural expression. This exhibition center serves as a model for human-oriented design in busy metropolitan environments, successfully creating a sanctuary where inner tranquility harmonizes with external spaces.
