Nature Apartment Interior DesignNature Apartment Interior DesignNature Apartment Interior Design is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully integrates natural elements, daylight, and wooden materials to create a harmonious living environment within a 100-square-meter apartment space. Completed in October 2019 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, this innovative design solution, created by Yi-Lun Hsu and Wen-Yuan Hsiao, demonstrates a sophisticated approach to space optimization and natural integration. The project's primary design principles revolve around maximizing daylight exposure, incorporating greenery, and utilizing wooden elements, particularly through the extensive use of lumber core plywood with protective paint. The design transformation involved the strategic removal of an old tatami room and unnecessary storage spaces, reorganizing the layout into three distinct rooms while restoring previously blocked windows. Notable features include a distinctive entrance hall with jungle-style hexagonal tiles and cement flooring, creating a natural atmosphere upon entry, while a glass screen partition effectively separates the entrance from the dining area to improve traffic flow. The living space showcases a stepped bookshelf combining iron frames and wooden boards, offering flexible storage solutions through movable wooden boxes. The master bedroom and dressing room were reimagined by removing old cabinets to restore three-sided windows, maximizing natural light penetration while maintaining ample storage through thoughtfully positioned wall cabinets. This design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial planning, material selection, and innovative approach to residential interior design.
