The Scarlett ResidentialThe Scarlett ResidentialThe Scarlett Residential is an award-winning interior design project completed in Taiwan in March 2021, exemplifying a harmonious blend of minimalist aesthetics and sophisticated architectural elements. The design's most distinctive feature is its innovative curved three-dimensional ceiling system, which extends throughout the residence, creating a visual flow that connects different spatial zones while establishing a contemporary atmosphere of simplicity and elegance. The project showcases a masterful integration of materials, including amber mirrors, titanium-plated metals, and specialized finishes such as Italian Marcopolo art paint and radiant gold brushed surface system plates, all carefully selected to maintain low formaldehyde emissions for a healthy living environment. The interior's color palette is anchored by pure white backgrounds complemented with subtle gray, black, and milk tea tones, with strategic touches of bright orange serving as visual accents. Notable design elements include the curved television wall, which introduces a sense of restraint to the generous-styled interior, and custom display cabinets designed to showcase the client's model collection. The master bedroom features a minimalist yet semi-luxurious aesthetic, incorporating large French windows for natural illumination and sophisticated laminate hard plastic plates with challenging 5-cm R-angle curved corners. The project, designed by Chih-Hsiu Sung, received recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial innovation and material application. The design successfully creates a peaceful and stable atmosphere while maintaining a delicate balance between curved and straight lines, resulting in a space that radiates clarity and contemporary luxury while fostering a warm, intimate residential environment.
