Exquisite Craft of Art Residential is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of luxury living spaces with meticulous craftsmanship, completed in December 2016 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. This 180-square-meter residential interior, designed by Han Chung Hung and Lu Hsiao Yang, demonstrates a sophisticated approach to contemporary living through its innovative spatial organization and material composition. The design philosophy centers on liberating the space from structural constraints while creating a seamless flow between different functional areas, achieved through an open-plan layout that emphasizes both social interaction and private living requirements. The project's distinctive features include a thoughtfully curated material palette incorporating mirrors, natural stone, shell mosaic, titanium alloy, leather, and timber, all orchestrated to create rich visual layers and tactile experiences. The entrance area and living room utilize strategic mirror placement to enhance spatial perception, while the TV wall combines marble with shell mosaic and titanium alloy finishes to create a striking focal point. The design's attention to detail extends to the white-themed spatial continuity, enhanced by monotonic flooring in public areas and carefully considered ceiling detailing. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional innovation in its approach to combining practical functionality with artistic expression, particularly evident in features such as the large-area marble wall at the entrance and the rippling totemic visuals along the bedroom corridor.
