Runway Apartment DesignRunway Apartment DesignRunway Apartment Design is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the creative integration of movement and functionality within a 116-square-meter living space. This distinctive design approach, conceived by Bill Fong, employs an elevated walkway as a central runway element that connects three primary areas while utilizing height differences to define spatial functions. The design's conceptual framework draws inspiration from the steel industry, incorporating cool colors and angular lines that reflect industrial aesthetics while maintaining residential comfort. The project showcases remarkable technical innovation through its use of environmentally conscious materials, particularly the implementation of Micro Topping cement texture derived from reservoir mud, which provides both aesthetic appeal and practical benefits such as waterproofing and environmental permeability. The space encompasses a master bedroom with dressing room, guest room, storage room, two bathrooms, front room, living room, and kitchen with work balcony, all unified through a sophisticated design language that emphasizes clean lines and visual continuity. Notable features include custom-designed bus-door mechanisms for bathrooms and dressing rooms, strategic natural light integration through wooden louvers, and a thoughtfully angled ceiling design that creates an illusion of enhanced spatial volume. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional space optimization and sustainable design practices while successfully balancing angular elements through symmetrical configurations.
