No48 Fragrance DiffuserNo48 Fragrance DiffuserNo48 Fragrance Diffuser is an innovative and sophisticated fragrance diffusion system that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of form and function in contemporary packaging design. Created by designers Nicolas Boon and Tatiana Garcia in Luxembourg, this elegant piece draws inspiration from the mysterious connection between ambergris and yellow amber, manifesting as a refined vessel that evokes the appearance of polished amber or a sea-smoothed pebble. The design's distinctive identity is characterized by the number 48, where the masculine square-shaped '4' and feminine rounded '8' create a compelling typographic duality. The product's physical dimensions of 75mm x 75mm x 115mm for the bottle, complemented by packaging measurements of 80mm x 80mm x 210mm, house a 250ml capacity vessel. The design employs a sophisticated production methodology incorporating black screen printing on glass, Colorplan white frost paper with intense black offset printing, and Luxor 232 MP hot stamping with protective varnish. The aesthetic execution masterfully balances opposing elements - land and sea, masculine and feminine, square and round, solid and liquid, container and content, black and white - creating a harmonious whole that transcends traditional fragrance diffuser design conventions. This exceptional design achievement was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to combining functionality with aesthetic excellence. The diffuser features a single black wooden stick for fragrance dissemination, while its sophisticated color palette and minimalist composition evoke the tranquility of a Zen garden, offering a perfect synthesis of Eastern and Western design sensibilities.
