Tianliao Fire StationTianliao Fire StationTianliao Fire Station is an innovative architectural project located in the Guangming District of Shenzhen, China, exemplifying modern fire station design principles through its centralized layout and efficient spatial organization. The facility encompasses a total floor area of 5,039.5 square meters, featuring a three-story office building seamlessly integrated with a seven-story training tower, demonstrating a thoughtful balance between functional requirements and architectural aesthetics. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, showcases advanced sustainable features including LOW-E energy-efficient glass, thermal mortar applications, and solar power integration. The structure's intelligent vertical design positions its internal elevation above the adjacent municipal road to prevent water ingress, while its carefully planned setback distances - 2.3m east, 6.05m south, 2.3m west, and 1.8m north - maximize the limited land use. The facility's layout prioritizes operational efficiency with strategically placed fire truck parking facing the street, dedicated preparation rooms for firefighters on the second floor, and administrative offices on the third floor. Notable architectural elements include the integration of garden spaces throughout the complex to enhance the quality of life for personnel, and the implementation of a 50mm extruded polystyrene board roofing system for superior thermal insulation. The project, completed in July 2020, represents a significant advancement in fire station design, establishing new standards for emergency service facilities while maintaining a harmonious balance between functionality, sustainability, and architectural innovation.
