Two Arches Villa

Two Arches Villa is an architecturally significant residential structure located in Damavand, Iran, that masterfully reinterprets traditional Iranian architectural principles through a contemporary lens. Designed by architects Hossein Hassani and Amin Habibi in 2020, this 200-square-meter villa exemplifies a harmonious blend of cultural heritage and modern design sensibilities. The villa's distinctive feature comprises two prominent arches that serve both aesthetic and functional purposes, creating a sophisticated spatial hierarchy that addresses privacy concerns while maintaining visual continuity. A defining element of the design is the integration of a waterway, inspired by traditional Iranian gardens, which acts as the primary axis of the site organization. The structure employs an innovative combination of concrete and metal construction, with the signature arches crafted from concrete and adorned with brick cladding, departing from conventional arch construction methods that typically utilize compact brick and plaster.
