The Moo Office

The Moo Office

The Moo Office is an innovative three-story commercial interior design project completed in Taiwan in 2021, exemplifying a sophisticated approach to spatial hierarchy and functionality through minimalist principles. The design masterfully divides reception and office areas across three floors, employing a subtractive color system to create seamless transitions between levels while maintaining distinct atmospheric qualities. The first floor features a vibrant reception area characterized by lively aesthetics, transitioning to a coordinated and stable office environment on the second floor, and culminating in a serene, relaxing space on the third floor. This thoughtful progression demonstrates exceptional spatial planning and color psychology implementation. The project, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases innovative use of healthy materials including particle board, mineral water-based paint, and Stone Plastic Composite flooring, prioritizing low formaldehyde emissions and minimal volatility. The design philosophy draws inspiration from Mies van der Rohe's less is more principle, effectively merging functionality with aesthetic refinement. With dimensions varying across floors (500cm x 930cm x 400cm for the first floor, 500cm x 900cm x 300cm for the second floor, and 500cm x 850cm x 310cm for the third floor), the space demonstrates masterful volume manipulation while serving as a cabinet design and sales environment that evokes a residential atmosphere to enhance customer engagement and purchase motivation.
