Slow Dance Residential ApartmentSlow Dance Residential ApartmentSlow Dance Residential Apartment is an award-winning residential interior design project completed in July 2020, located in New Taipei City, encompassing 225 square meters of living space that masterfully balances modern aesthetics with homely comfort. The design concept revolves around the dining room as the central axis of the home, featuring a sculptural centerpiece that serves both as a storage solution and as the spatial focal point. This innovative architectural element combines angular ironwork with stone and wood, incorporating a sliding-shelf-door system that enhances functionality while maintaining aesthetic appeal. The interior design demonstrates sophisticated material integration, utilizing natural stones, iron works, dyed natural wood veneer, AICA panels, striped glass, and laminate materials to create a harmonious contemporary environment. The space planning accommodates flexible arrangements, allowing for various modes of activities while reflecting the personalities of its residents - combining the elegance desired by the wife with the understated character of the husband. The design successfully overcomes the challenge of working with existing flooring constraints in public areas while creating a modern yet warm atmosphere through thoughtful material selection and spatial composition. The project, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in residential interior design through its innovative use of space, material selection, and functional considerations. The design's sophisticated approach to lighting, including carefully positioned light belts, works in concert with thematic colors and decorative elements to create an artistic and welcoming atmosphere, while the strategic use of cold, square elements balanced with soft furnishings demonstrates masterful control of spatial dynamics.
