H6 Conet Public Open SpaceH6 Conet Public Open SpaceH6 Conet Public Open Space is an innovative community-focused architectural project that represents a significant advancement in sustainable urban design and public space development. Located in Central, Hong Kong, this 2,660-square-meter facility integrates multiple functions through its thoughtfully designed spaces, including a community corridor, an Urban Renewal Exploration Centre, and office spaces. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, stands out for its pioneering implementation of a bio-filter system integrated into its green wall design, marking it as a groundbreaking initiative in environmental sustainability. The space features an extensive vertical greening system that actively reduces indoor air pollutants through bio-filtration, achieving remarkable removal efficiencies of 37% for VOCs, 20% for PM10, and 13% for CO2. The facility's innovative design incorporates a sophisticated Condensate Water System that collects and reuses water from fan coil units for plant cultivation, demonstrating exceptional resource efficiency. The space is strategically divided into distinct functional areas, including an 858.5-square-meter Community Corridor dedicated to art and culture, a 237-square-meter Exploration Centre, and various multipurpose rooms and NGO offices. The project's significance extends beyond its physical attributes, as it enhances urban connectivity by providing access to six adjoining lanes and features interactive digital technology to create engaging visitor experiences. The design successfully integrates historical elements with modern sustainable technologies, creating a harmonious balance between heritage preservation and environmental innovation.
