Hsu House Residential ApartmentHsu House Residential ApartmentHsu House Residential Apartment is an innovative residential interior design project completed in 2021, exemplifying a harmonious blend of functionality, aesthetics, and sustainable living principles within a 188-square-meter space. Located in Taiwan, this architectural masterpiece, designed by Chen-Yu Ho and Nien-Ting Hsu, introduces a series of Living Objects that respond thoughtfully to contemporary lifestyle needs and environmental considerations. The design's distinctive features include a diatomaceous earthy wall that naturally regulates indoor humidity while providing an organic tactile experience, and strategically placed glass brick elements that create an intriguing interplay between visibility and privacy. The project's centerpiece is a flowing, circular-arc kitchen island that serves as both a functional hub and an aesthetic focal point, complemented by a carefully curated color palette of matcha green, goose yellow, and dark pink that responds to the tropical climate. Notable for its achievement in sustainable design within a limited budget of approximately 23,000 USD, the project incorporates eco-friendly materials and innovative space-planning solutions. The interior arrangement facilitates both communal and private activities through thoughtful zoning and flexible spaces, while custom-designed elements such as the iron and wood bookcase system contribute to the space's overall harmony. This exemplary work of interior architecture, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional skill in creating a sophisticated living environment that balances aesthetic refinement with practical functionality, while maintaining a strong connection to natural elements and environmental consciousness.
