BonBonne Nuit Candy PackagingBonBonne Nuit Candy PackagingBonBonne Nuit Candy Packaging is an innovative packaging design concept that artfully combines French linguistic elements with surrealistic visual storytelling to create an immersive candy packaging experience. The design, created by Ka Wai Tsun in Vancouver during 2020, cleverly merges the French words bonbon (candy) and bonne nuit (good night) to establish a dreamlike brand identity that explores the realm of lucid dreaming through confectionery packaging. The design collection encompasses three pouches, three mini round boxes, and two rectangular handle boxes, each featuring distinct special flavors and unique narrative elements. The packaging employs sophisticated montage techniques executed through digital manipulation, bringing together surrealistic elements that suggest controllable dream scenarios. Each package tells its own story through carefully composed collages that blend various visual elements, creating an atmosphere that resonates with the concept of lucid dreaming. The design's distinctive approach lies in its ability to trigger imaginative scenarios in customers' minds through conceptual product names and surrealistic imagery. The dimensions of the packages vary strategically, with pouch sizes of 90mm x 35mm x 130mm, rectangular boxes measuring 130mm x 60mm x 105mm, and cubic boxes at 85mm in all dimensions. This packaging design has been recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to combining visual storytelling with functional packaging design. The project demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its execution, utilizing subtle tone and color variations to enhance the dreamy aesthetic while maintaining practical functionality as a candy container.
