Hope Symbolic RingHope Symbolic RingHope Symbolic Ring is an innovative jewelry design that emerged as a profound artistic response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, embodying both symbolic meaning and sophisticated craftsmanship. This distinctive piece features a dual-layer design connected by hinges, creating an interactive experience that metaphorically transforms darkness into light. The outer layer, adorned with black enamel, represents the challenging times of the pandemic, while the inner surface reveals a brilliant composition of diamonds and a central yellow diamond symbolizing hope and renewal. Crafted from silver with gold plating, the ring measures 2.5cm in width, 2.5cm in depth, and 4cm in height, incorporating geometric elements including triangular patterns and a unique inner square dubbed the eyelet for hope. The design's conceptual depth is enhanced by its mechanical functionality, allowing the outer layer to open like a box, revealing the luminous interior in a powerful metaphorical gesture of transitioning from darkness to light. The piece garnered international recognition when it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Jewelry Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to addressing contemporary social issues through wearable art. Created by designer Kosar Sivandi between September 2020 and October 2021, the ring represents a thoughtful exploration of human resilience and optimism during challenging times, while its technical execution demonstrates excellence in jewelry craftsmanship through the strategic use of precious materials and innovative structural solutions.
