QingJing TeaQingJing TeaQingJing Tea is an innovative packaging design concept that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese Buddhist philosophy with contemporary design aesthetics. Created by designer Xue Jiang, this sophisticated tea packaging solution draws inspiration from the profound teachings of Chinese Buddhist classics, particularly emphasizing the concept of tranquility and meditation. The design's most distinctive feature lies in its masterful implementation of dual perspective artwork, where viewers may perceive either a butterfly or a Buddha figure depending on their viewpoint, cleverly embodying the Buddhist principle that the inner world cannot be comprehended merely through external observation. The packaging utilizes high-quality ceramic material, specifically chosen for its chemical stability and ability to preserve the authentic fragrance of rock tea without absorption or interference. The vessel's streamlined form factor, measuring 32mm x 64mm x 67mm for the outer packaging and 29mm x 33mm x 62mm for the inner container, incorporates an ingenious combination mechanism between the body and lid, facilitating seamless opening and closing while maintaining optimal preservation conditions. This thoughtful design, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2021, represents a significant departure from conventional tea packaging through its innovative approach to material selection, form factor, and cultural symbolism. The project, completed in March 2020, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its execution, from the carefully considered black porcelain tank body to the refined mouth design, all elements working in harmony to create a vessel that elevates the tea-drinking experience while paying homage to traditional Chinese cultural values.
