Huangpu Taste RestaurantHuangpu Taste RestaurantHuangpu Taste Restaurant is a distinguished interior design project located in Shanghai's Lujiazui CBD, representing a harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese aesthetic elements within a contemporary urban context. Completed in October 2019, this 650-square-meter establishment serves as an exclusive dining venue designed specifically for internal corporate reception and dining, strategically positioned to enhance work efficiency by minimizing travel time for urban professionals. The design, conceptualized by Black Lv and team, masterfully integrates abstract interpretations of classical Chinese landscape elements - mountains, water, and fish - creating an atmosphere of refined elegance within a modern office environment. The space features sophisticated architectural elements including wood veneer ceilings that evoke traditional wooden houses, oxidized copper wall veneers that display unique, unreplicable patinas, and thoughtfully selected rattan furniture that adds temporal depth to the environment. A notable design feature is the implementation of vertical lines throughout the private dining areas, creating a spatial rhythm reminiscent of bamboo forests, while the careful integration of natural materials and textures establishes a contemplative atmosphere that provides respite from the fast-paced urban environment. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in combining functional requirements with aesthetic sophistication, particularly in its ability to create a space that honors traditional Chinese design elements while serving contemporary business needs. The restaurant's design philosophy emphasizes the cultural significance of landscape elements in Chinese tradition, utilizing these motifs to create a sophisticated dining environment that encourages both social interaction and moments of tranquil reflection.
