Aix Arome Cafe Cafe is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of oceanic themes with contemporary cafe aesthetics, distinguished by its unique architectural elements and immersive dining experience. Located in Shenzhen Bay OCT Harbour Theme Park, this 150-square-meter space is anchored by a remarkable egg-shaped structure that serves as both a cashier station and coffee supply hub, drawing inspiration from the dark, distinctive appearance of coffee beans. The design philosophy centers on creating a profound connection between visitors and oceanic elements through thoughtfully curated design features, including organically shaped furniture reminiscent of octopi and marine life, and distinctive blue chandeliers that simulate the ethereal effect of sunlight penetrating ocean waters. The interior's sophisticated material palette combines plastic laminate, Corian, glass, stainless steel, timber flooring, and tiles, while the carefully selected blue and green color scheme reinforces the maritime theme. The space achieves a delicate balance between functionality and artistic expression, featuring two strategic openings atop the central bean-shaped structure that facilitate natural ventilation and light penetration. This exceptional design, created by Ajax Law and completed in 2012, earned the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to innovative spatial design and its successful integration of thematic elements with practical functionality.
