Happy Water HumidifierHappy Water HumidifierHappy Water Humidifier is an innovative home appliance that seamlessly integrates traditional Chinese cultural elements with advanced technology, designed by a team led by Guangpeng Yue. This sophisticated humidification device employs magnetic levitation technology combined with ultrasonic atomization to create an elegant and mindful user experience. The design, which won the Silver A' Design Award in the Home Appliances Design category, features a distinctive floating magnetic ball that serves as both a power switch and a visual representation of the moon floating above water, drawing inspiration from classical Chinese poetry about the relationship between the moon and sea. The device's circular form, measuring 300 millimeters in diameter and 165 millimeters in height, houses advanced features including an ultraviolet disinfection system that eliminates 99 percent of bacteria, and a silent water pump for cyclic water purification. With a substantial 4-liter water capacity and the ability to atomize 350 milliliters of water per hour, the humidifier can operate continuously for ten hours on a single filling. The design team successfully overcame the technical challenge of precisely positioning the magnetic levitation ball while maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic. This harmonious fusion of form and function creates an interior furnishing that transcends mere utility, encouraging users to enter a state of mindfulness during operation. The innovative switch mechanism utilizes internal current monitoring sensors to detect changes in the magnetic levitation circuit, transforming the simple act of placing the magnetic ball into an engaging interactive experience that helps reduce anxiety and promotes present-moment awareness.
