Sepanta Multifunctional HallSepanta Multifunctional HallSepanta Multifunctional Hall is an innovative architectural masterpiece located on Kish Island, Iran, designed by architect Amin Naeimi, drawing inspiration from the island's protected sea turtle population. This remarkable structure, spanning approximately 6,000 square meters, seamlessly integrates cultural functionality with environmental consciousness through its distinctive biomorphic design. The hall's most striking feature is its exterior, which presents a modern architectural interpretation of a turtle shell, characterized by smooth, undulating surfaces crafted from GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) that echo the rhythmic patterns of ocean waves. The structure accommodates up to 1,350 people and serves multiple purposes, including musical performances, theatrical productions, and opera presentations. The building's sophisticated engineering incorporates a suspended ceiling utilizing space frame structures, while its environmental considerations are evident in the triple-glazed curtain wall system, which optimizes energy efficiency while providing stunning views of the Persian Gulf. The lower level houses a restaurant and food court, enhancing the venue's versatility and visitor experience. This architectural achievement, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, demonstrates exceptional sensitivity to its coastal environment, particularly in its careful consideration of the neighboring turtle habitat, while advancing modern architectural possibilities through its innovative use of materials and spatial design.
