This groundbreaking interior design project, which earned the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, transforms the mundane task of doing laundry into an engaging social experience through its thoughtfully curated 230-square-meter space. The design philosophy centers on creating a living room atmosphere throughout the establishment, featuring an eclectic mix of upcycled vintage furniture, custom-designed elements, and deliberately exposed washing machines that serve as integral components of the aesthetic rather than being concealed. The interior showcases remarkable attention to detail, incorporating restored original wooden flooring, Winckelmans tiles at the bar area, and ingeniously repurposed cabinet drawers mounted vertically as decorative wall frames and menu boards. Notable design innovations include custom-made lampshades crafted from basic metal clothes hangers, demonstrating a creative approach to sustainable design through upcycling.
