The festival's name itself is a clever wordplay meaning Good Luck Daxi, centered around the celebration of Lord Guan's birthday, an event so significant that locals consider it their second Chinese New Year. Covering an impressive area of 121,000 square meters, the festival has successfully modernized traditional parade elements while maintaining their cultural integrity through carefully curated collaborations between young artists and traditional craftspeople. The 2020 edition notably introduced the innovative Lord Guan Online concept, implementing a hybrid offline-online approach that expanded the festival's reach beyond physical boundaries. This cultural initiative has demonstrated remarkable success in strengthening community identity while attracting over 100,000 visitors, effectively bridging the generational gap in cultural appreciation.
