Werkelkueche Toy is an innovative gender-neutral activity workstation designed for children that seamlessly combines the functional elements of traditional play kitchens and workbenches into a single, versatile play environment. Created by German designer Christine Oehme, this groundbreaking design challenges conventional gender stereotypes in children's toys through its thoughtful integration of diverse play possibilities. The design features a distinctive curved worktop crafted from thermally deformed birch plywood, creating a multifunctional surface that can serve as a sink, workshop area, or imaginative play space such as a ski slope.
