Villa Attie HouseVilla Attie HouseVilla Attie House is an architecturally distinguished residential structure located in Faqra, Lebanon, exemplifying innovative mountain architecture through its seamless integration with the natural topography. Designed by Joy Alexandre Harb and completed in 2023, this 750-square-meter dwelling demonstrates exceptional environmental consciousness and sophisticated spatial planning. The structure, which garnered the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, features a remarkable dual-access design that effectively addresses the challenging corner plot positioned between two roads. The villa's architectural composition spans three levels, including two primary living floors of 250 square meters each and a functional basement dedicated to storage and technical facilities. A defining characteristic of the design is its advanced material selection, incorporating fair-face concrete in its natural state and High Density Concrete Panels (HDCP) for border treatments, allowing for extended continuous blocks exceeding three meters without visible joints. The building's environmental performance is enhanced through the implementation of double-glazed aluminum facades with low emissive glass, optimizing energy efficiency. The interior spatial arrangement showcases an open-plan design that masterfully combines comfort, functionality, and circulation flow, while the seamless integration between indoor and outdoor spaces is achieved through unified finish levels between the interior and pool area. The villa's orientation towards the southwest maximizes natural light and ventilation, while its design grants occupants panoramic 180-degree views of the surrounding mountain landscape, respecting the natural slope of the terrain within a ski resort setting.
