This 800-square-meter retail environment masterfully integrates merchandise retailing with Olympic spirit dissemination through sophisticated spatial design and artistic installations. The design, conceived by Xiaolu Zhang and completed in February 2021, draws inspiration from the poetic imagery of ice and snow, incorporating dynamic and rhythmic installation art at the entrance to enhance visual recognition and Olympic spirit identification. The space features two primary functional areas, including a media release zone distinguished by an artistically integrated lectern crafted from white frosted acrylic material, enhanced by color-changing lights that create an immersive ice-scattered effect. The design employs a sophisticated color palette of pure white, blue and white, red and gold, and turquoise, reflecting the Winter Olympics' official aesthetic. Notable design elements include a central staggered staircase with a slope designed to emulate competition areas covered in ice and snow, creating an experiential journey that reinforces the Winter Olympics theme. The project, which won the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully addresses the challenge of maximizing commercial benefits while creating an atmospheric and educational space that effectively communicates the Olympic spirit through innovative spatial division and artistic installations.
