Oberbayern Residential HouseOberbayern Residential HouseOberbayern Residential House is an innovative residential architectural masterpiece that exemplifies the harmonious integration of sustainable design principles with contemporary living spaces. Completed in 2015 in Chiayi City, this four-floor structure encompasses 848 square meters of internal floor space within a 438-square-meter lot, featuring a distinctive origami-style exterior that creates compelling interplays of light and shadow through its overlapping structure of as-cast-finish mold and plate mold. The design philosophy centers on the profound relationship between humans, space, and environment, manifested through the thoughtful incorporation of natural and recycled materials throughout the structure. The building's exterior wall draws inspiration from mountain landscapes, creating an urban oasis effect, while innovative architectural techniques accommodate remarkable features such as thin-cut rock pieces weighing over 100 kilograms each in the living room walls. The comprehensive layout includes a garage, pool, living spaces, video room, meeting facilities, four bedrooms, and dedicated areas for creative work, all designed with meticulous attention to environmental impact. The property showcases advanced sustainable features, including eco-friendly permeable ground materials for maintaining soil moisture and sophisticated heat insulation systems. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully combines Japanese, Chinese, and South American architectural elements to achieve a postmodern aesthetic while maintaining strong environmental consciousness. The project's innovative use of materials, including corrugated steel bars, natural rock sheets, granite wall stones, and exposed concrete, demonstrates a commitment to showcasing the inherent beauty of building materials without superfluous ornamentation.
