This remarkable structure, designed by Hani Hassan, spans an impressive 65 meters and encompasses 12,000 square meters of space, capable of accommodating 7,000 spectators for various sports, academic, and cultural activities. The design masterfully combines contemporary architectural elements with traditional aesthetics, featuring a distinctive portal frame steel structure mounted on a concrete support system, complemented by 80-degree angle aluminum cladding facades designed to optimize wind load resistance. The facility stands as a paradigm of sustainable architecture, incorporating 4,000 square meters of roof-mounted PV solar panels that contribute to a 45% reduction in energy consumption, while its innovative rainwater harvesting system can conserve up to 2,000 cubic meters of water annually. The building's sophisticated passive cooling system utilizes 300 motorized windows for natural ventilation, reducing mechanical ventilation requirements by 50%. Distinguished by its architectural merit, the project received recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, acknowledging its exceptional integration of functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic excellence.
