Cloud Mountain Type Type Design is an innovative typographic design project that masterfully bridges Eastern and Western cultural aesthetics, drawing profound inspiration from the mystical landscapes of Zhang Jiajie and traditional Chinese landscape painting. This sophisticated typeface design, created by Chinese designer Meng Shenhui between 2016 and 2021, represents a groundbreaking fusion of abstract and concrete elements, embodying the philosophical concept expressed in the Chinese saying You cannot recognize the shape of a mountain when you stand on it.
