The Sea Waves OfficeThe Sea Waves OfficeThe Sea Waves Office is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of modern corporate aesthetics with maritime-inspired elements, created to serve as the headquarters for a leading Asian shipping company. Located in Jakarta, Indonesia, this 1,400-square-meter office space accommodates 109 staff members and showcases a sophisticated interpretation of oceanic themes through its innovative architectural elements and design features. The design concept manifests through various thoughtfully integrated components, including a distinctive wavy ceiling structure, ocean depth graphics, and carefully selected lighting ornaments that create an immersive maritime atmosphere while maintaining professional functionality. The interior space demonstrates exceptional attention to detail through its seamless integration of contemporary design elements with nautical motifs, featuring a reception area that incorporates ship-inspired elements and a unique backdrop that evokes oceanic imagery. The design philosophy embraces sustainability through the careful selection of environmentally responsible materials, including the use of rattan furniture and responsibly sourced wooden elements. A notable cultural element is introduced in the pantry area, where the ceiling incorporates traditional Indonesian batik patterns, recognized by UNESCO as cultural heritage, creating a meaningful connection between modern corporate design and local cultural identity. The project, which was completed in 2021, received recognition from the A' Design Award competition in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to corporate interior design. The space's design successfully balances functional requirements with aesthetic excellence through its bright color palette, predominantly featuring blue and white tones, while incorporating wooden elements that add warmth and sophistication to the environment.
