Cofco Town Sales CenterCofco Town Sales CenterCofco Town Sales Center is an innovative architectural and interior design project completed in 2020 in Zhangjiakou, China, that masterfully integrates natural elements with contemporary design principles to create a multifunctional commercial space. The 1,545-square-meter facility distinguishes itself through its unique interpretation of the regional ice and snow landscape, drawing inspiration from Zhangjiakou's status as a premier winter sports destination. The design employs a sophisticated terraced approach, utilizing elevation differences to create a dynamic landscape of stepped platforms that serve multiple purposes, from art exhibitions to open-air theater performances. The structure features a suspended cuboid form with a distinctive vertical progression, transitioning from one to two floors through an artfully conceived circulation path. The project's material palette, comprising stone, aluminum grille, and textured coating, complements its architectural concept while supporting its functional requirements. The center's design philosophy emphasizes the symbiotic relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces, incorporating an open-air commercial coffee bar and seamlessly integrating landscape elements with the building's exterior. A significant feature is the urban ladder culture square, which serves as a versatile third space for various cultural and business activities. The project, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional innovation in its approach to spatial organization and environmental integration. The design incorporates water elements as a sequential motif, featuring a sophisticated water curtain system that creates a visual dialogue with the city's natural waterways, effectively blurring the boundaries between architecture, nature, and interior space.
