Stories Of Communication BrandingStories Of Communication BrandingStories of Communication Branding is an innovative visual identity system that chronicles the evolution of human communication through a sophisticated collection of interconnected logos and design elements. Created by designer Mengyi Xie, this comprehensive branding project encompasses a primary logo and an extensive family of 100 sub-logos, each representing significant milestones in communication history, spanning from prehistoric civilization's Quipu-knotted strings to contemporary artificial intelligence. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, demonstrates exceptional artistic vision and historical depth in its approach to institutional branding. The design system's foundation is built upon a geometrical graphic incorporating the numeral 15, which serves as the basis for the entire visual identity. Each sub-logo within the family has been meticulously crafted to narrate a specific story or commemorate a crucial invention in human communication, creating a chronological timeline that celebrates human ingenuity and technological advancement. The project's implementation extended beyond mere visual design, incorporating various applications including posters, invitations, pamphlets, display walls, and commemorative items such as postcards and canvas bags. The development process involved extensive research and consultation with media specialists to ensure historical accuracy and significance, while the technical execution utilized advanced digital design tools to achieve a cohesive and contemporary aesthetic that bridges historical narrative with modern design principles.
