Serenity ResidenceSerenity ResidenceSerenity Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of minimalist aesthetics and functional living spaces. Located in Taiwan, this 105-square-meter dwelling masterfully transforms a conventional apartment into a tranquil sanctuary through thoughtful spatial planning and sophisticated material selection. The design philosophy centers on creating a stress-reducing environment through the deliberate use of low-saturation colors, incorporating leather panels, gray mirrors, and stainless-steel strips to break traditional visual frameworks. The residence features innovative solutions such as a custom-designed foyer that doubles as a curated display area, seamlessly integrating the clients' personal collections into the living space. Notable design elements include technological wood grain panels that provide subtle texture, strategically placed gray mirrors that visually expand the space, and a sophisticated lighting scheme that maximizes natural illumination. The project, which garnered a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its transformation of a four-room layout into a more spacious three-room configuration, including a specially crafted dressing room. The designer, Chun-Hung Chen, employed advanced spatial planning techniques to clearly delineate public and private areas while maintaining a harmonious flow throughout the residence, creating an environment that effectively addresses the high-pressure lifestyle of its occupants - a medical professional and a restaurateur - by providing a serene, sophisticated living space that balances functionality with aesthetic refinement.
