International Duty Free Reception CenterInternational Duty Free Reception CenterInternational Duty Free Reception Center is an innovative architectural masterpiece located in the Haikou Binhai New Area, serving as both a sophisticated sales center and a contemporary art gallery that represents a significant landmark in modern commercial architecture. This L-shaped structure, completed in September 2021, encompasses 2,215 square meters and employs deconstructionist design principles to challenge traditional architectural paradigms while creating a unique spiritual landscape. Designed by renowned architect Qun Wen and team, the building features a distinctive facade utilizing horizontal-grained panels and titanium-zinc elements, creating a powerful architectural statement through emphasized wall thickness and strategic material placement. The center's dual functionality is elegantly addressed through its thoughtful spatial organization, with marketing areas positioned along the main road featuring transparent glass facades that invite pedestrian engagement, while investment promotion spaces maintain professional privacy. The design philosophy integrates creative destructuring techniques to forge new connections between vision, life, and architecture, breaking away from conventional site impressions. This innovative approach earned the project a Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, recognizing its exceptional contribution to architectural design excellence. The building's sophisticated material palette and structural composition create a harmonious balance between functionality and artistic expression, while its transparent ground floor negotiation areas facilitate a seamless connection between interior activities and the urban environment, embodying the progressive spirit of the Haikou Binhai New Area while serving as a spiritual fortress and gateway to the west coast city.
