Outside the Box Office is an innovative corporate headquarters interior design project that exemplifies the seamless integration of state-of-the-art technology with contemporary workspace aesthetics. Located in the Science Park in Guishan, Taoyuan, Taiwan, this transformative renovation project, designed by Archie Ruan, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning and innovative architectural solutions. The design philosophy centers on creating a bright, dynamic work environment through the strategic use of grayish white hues and extensive glazing, promoting transparency and collaborative interaction. The project's distinctive features include a dramatic two-story entrance lobby with vaulted ceilings and large French windows, complemented by slanted built-in landscaped proactive steps and a digital TV wall. The open-plan office layout incorporates rimless transitions, thoughtfully positioned couches, window-adjacent bar counters, and circular sofas, creating diverse zones for both focused work and casual interaction. The second floor maintains design continuity through a sophisticated combination of grayish white surfaces and wood veneer elements. A notable aspect of the design is the industrial-styled staff restaurant in the basement, which ingeniously exposes structural elements while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere through warm lighting and comfortable furnishings. The project, which won the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in corporate interior design, successfully balancing functionality with aesthetic appeal while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
