Nanhu Hotel Hospitality is an exemplary architectural and interior design project that masterfully integrates traditional Chinese garden culture with contemporary luxury hospitality design, spanning an impressive 34,474 square meters in Jiaxing, China. The design's centerpiece is its magnificent 10-meter-high lobby, which features an innovative reinterpretation of traditional Jiangnan water pavilion beam frameworks, creating a striking focal point that extends from column to ceiling. The project, completed in 2021 and recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its tripartite layout: a grand entrance lobby, a serene central atrium, and a sophisticated dining area. The design language synthesizes traditional Chinese lattice patterns with modern five-pointed star motifs, while incorporating lake-green screens that enhance spatial sequencing and depth. The property encompasses 250 luxurious rooms and suites, each featuring panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows and private viewing balconies that capitalize on the surrounding lake views. The material palette combines stone, wood, hard-wrapped fabric, and metal, executed with meticulous attention to traditional craftsmanship, particularly evident in the lobby's background installation that employs sophisticated paint stacking and grinding techniques. The restaurant space adjacent to the hall bar showcases South China architectural elements, incorporating door sash details, grille work, and a harmonious blend of wood, metal mesh, bronze, and leather to create an engaging dining environment. This hospitality project stands as a testament to the successful fusion of antiquity and contemporary design, where orange furniture accents, modern lighting fixtures, and carefully curated art books and ceramics contribute to a space that embodies both Chinese elegance and modern sophistality.
