The Beauty Of Light Beauty CentreThe Beauty Of Light Beauty CentreThe Beauty of Light Beauty Centre is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of lighting, spatial design, and wellness aesthetics within a contemporary urban context. Located in Hong Kong's business district, this 97-square-meter facility represents a sophisticated reinterpretation of commercial beauty spaces through its thoughtful incorporation of architectural elements and ambient lighting solutions. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design, features a distinctive L-shaped self-emitting reception area strategically positioned for optimal management oversight. The space's architectural narrative begins with a cavern arch tunnel entrance, creating a compelling sense of arrival that transitions visitors from the urban exterior to a serene interior sanctuary. The centre encompasses seven uniquely designed treatment rooms, a makeup zone, an elegant waiting area, and essential back-of-house facilities, all orchestrated within a carefully considered human-scale environment. A significant design emphasis is placed on the manipulation of light throughout the space, incorporating LED strip lighting with dimming capabilities in treatment rooms to accommodate various therapeutic needs and enhance relaxation. The integration of textured painting and glass elements further amplifies the lighting effects, creating sophisticated spatial hierarchies. The design's flowing circulation is guided by diffused lighting and curvilinear partitions, while each treatment room features distinct design elements that ensure varied experiential journeys for returning clients. This thoughtful approach to spatial design, completed between September and November 2021, successfully challenges conventional beauty centre aesthetics while prioritizing functionality and user experience.
