The service operates through a sophisticated system where users can select from over 300 authentic pieces, with the option of expert curatorial guidance, facilitating a three-month trial period followed by exchange or return options. Established in June 2019 in Tokyo, the platform has evolved to serve both business and consumer markets, particularly adapting to changing market conditions during the global pandemic by expanding into household services. The system effectively bridges the gap between craftsmen and end-users, enabling direct feedback channels that influence product development and market adaptation. This innovative approach not only preserves traditional craftsmanship but also modernizes its distribution, making it more accessible and sustainable for contemporary users. The service has demonstrated remarkable success with its engagement of over 50 craftsmen and artisans, serving more than 30 restaurants and 50 end-users, while facilitating over 500 participants in trial events, marking a significant contribution to the preservation and evolution of Japanese craft culture.
