Crescent Residential Interior Design is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of acoustic functionality and minimalist aesthetics, completed in 2021 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The design, conceived by Hsin-Ting Weng, is distinguished by its signature curved ceiling feature that takes the form of a suspended crescent, ingeniously integrating audio-visual equipment within its backlit structure. This 115-square-meter apartment interior demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its sophisticated integration of form and function, where the flowing arc motif serves both aesthetic and practical purposes. The design's conceptual foundation draws inspiration from the visualization of sound waves, translating acoustic movement into architectural elements that define the living space. The project employs a refined material palette, featuring mineral paints that extend continuously from ceilings to floors, creating a cohesive visual narrative reminiscent of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.
