Reamember Mobile Application

Reamember Mobile Application is an innovative language learning tool designed to seamlessly integrate reading comprehension and vocabulary building for language learners. Developed by Tianyi Qi in 2020, this iOS-based application addresses the common challenge faced by language learners who struggle to maintain reading flow while encountering unfamiliar words. The application's sophisticated design combines a browser interface with an embedded dictionary, allowing users to access online content while instantly checking word meanings without disrupting their reading experience. Distinguished by its holistic approach to language learning, Reamember features a unique three-tier system comprising Reading, Wordbook, and Community components. The Reading interface enables users to browse content aligned with their interests, while the integrated dictionary provides immediate word definitions. The Wordbook function stores encountered vocabulary for later review, implementing a structured learning approach through daily pop quizzes that mark words as learned after successful completion of three tests. The Community feature facilitates resource sharing among users, creating a collaborative learning environment. This thoughtfully designed application, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design category in 2022, emerged from extensive user research involving English learners and their reading habits. The research revealed that immediate access to word meanings in users' native languages significantly enhances reading comprehension while maintaining flow, a finding that directly informed the application's core functionality.
