Whitelier Hanam BakeryWhitelier Hanam BakeryWhitelier Hanam Bakery is an innovative architectural and interior design project completed in September 2021, representing a sophisticated fusion of form and function in retail bakery design. Located in the Misa District of Gyeonggido, South Korea, this flagship establishment exemplifies contemporary retail architecture through its distinctive white curved facade that symbolically represents the artisanal nature of premium bread-making. The 54-square-meter space, designed by architect Seuk Hoon Kim, masterfully integrates a sales display hall with a fully equipped baking kitchen, demonstrating exceptional space optimization within limited dimensions of 11,180mm width, 6,070mm depth, and 4,900mm height. The design concept derives from the etymological combination of White and Atelier, emphasizing its identity as a specialized workshop dedicated to premium white bread production. The exterior features a pre-fabricated metal facade with powder coating, while the interior showcases articulated wooden display shelves that elevate the presentation of artisanal bread products. A significant architectural element is the three-meter wall separating the hall and kitchen, topped by an exposed ceiling that creates an expansive atmosphere. The beige-tiled counter seamlessly transitions from the facade to the interior, creating a welcoming customer experience. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates excellence in combining aesthetic appeal with functional efficiency, utilizing advanced 3D computational modeling for both the sophisticated curved facade and the precisely engineered display shelves.
