Puglia Tourism Promotion OfficesPuglia Tourism Promotion OfficesPuglia Tourism Promotion Offices is an innovative interior design project that reimagines the concept of tourist information spaces through a harmonious blend of contemporary functionality and regional architectural heritage. This 80-square-meter facility, designed by Italian designer Emanuele Spano, represents a sophisticated interpretation of public service spaces that draws inspiration from the organic forms of Italian Limestone Pietra di Lecce and the region's rich historical context. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, features an integrated front and back office configuration that prioritizes operational efficiency while maintaining strong connections to Puglia's architectural identity. The space incorporates sustainable design elements, including passive energy systems, LED technology, and natural ventilation, utilizing a carefully selected material palette of wood, synthetic resin, glass, aluminum, and Biocalce. The interior layout, measuring approximately 36 feet in width, 23 feet in depth, and 13 feet in height, facilitates essential tourism services including front office operations, waiting areas, Wi-Fi connectivity, and back-office functions. The project serves as an operational tool for promoting regional tourism, emphasizing sustainable development and integrated planning while focusing on hospitality and service quality. Its design philosophy embraces simplification and archaic elements to highlight the theme of origins, creating a space that effectively mediates between regional territorial offerings and international tourist flows, particularly supporting the promotion of cultural heritage, protected natural areas, and cultural activities.
