Swan Glass ObjectSwan Glass ObjectSwan Glass Object is an innovative glass vessel designed for liquid storage and transfer, representing a harmonious fusion of form and function in contemporary kitchenware design. Created by Turkish designers Enver Güner and Özgü Gündeslioglu in 2012, this monoblock glass piece exemplifies sophisticated craftsmanship through traditional glassblowing techniques while introducing a novel approach to liquid handling. The design, standing 230mm in height with a width of 274mm and depth of 139mm, features a distinctive swan-like silhouette that serves both aesthetic and practical purposes. Its unique construction, with a 4mm wall thickness, incorporates a specialized filling mechanism at the base, challenging conventional pouring and storage paradigms. The vessel's design prevents liquid from escaping through the bottom during use, despite this being the filling point, creating an engaging user experience that reimagines traditional liquid transfer methods. Crafted through a meticulous glassblowing process, the piece is executed in multiple stages, first forming the main body, followed by the careful addition of the handle and spout. The design allows for creative variation through the possibility of color application at the filling point, with the glassblowing technique accommodating multi-colored implementations. This innovative approach to traditional glassware earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition, receiving an Iron A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category, acknowledging its contribution to innovative functionality and aesthetic appeal in kitchenware design.
