Klaipeda City 760-th Anniversary Visual IdentityKlaipeda City 760-th Anniversary Visual IdentityKlaipeda City 760-th anniversary Visual identity is a comprehensive visual communication system designed to commemorate the 760th anniversary of Klaipeda, Lithuania's third-largest city. This sophisticated design project, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, encompasses multiple integrated elements inspired by calligraphic artistry. The visual identity system features a distinctive logotype that embodies the city's spirit through freestyle calligraphic execution, utilizing the official municipal red and yellow color palette to maintain historical continuity. The project's scope extends beyond traditional graphic design to include several innovative installations: a 12-meter high kinetic spatial composition titled Klaipeda. 1252-2012 Historic Pendulum that responds to wind movements, symbolizing the passage of time; an 18-meter wide historical panorama incorporating both historical and contemporary citizens through advanced photomontage techniques; and an interactive installation called Birds Chirping that represents city landmarks through personified culture and business objects. This latter installation incorporates sophisticated technology including servo engines, proximity sensors, and automated sound systems, creating an engaging multi-sensory experience. The design successfully merges traditional elements with contemporary technical innovations, employing advanced production technologies including 2D and 3D software, wide-format printing, and various interactive components to create a cohesive celebration of the city's heritage while projecting its future trajectory.
